Encore une Mouette
"Konstantin Gavrilovitch killed himself with a gunshot."
Thus ended Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull". Then the curtain fell and the audience in the hall enthusiastically applauded the performance of those young actors and actresses, set and costume designers, technicians and producers. They were finishing their theatre course.
Like Konstantin Gavrilovitch, they embraced expectations and anxieties regarding their future as artists. Would they achieve the visibility that would place them center stage, pursuing new forms, or, on the contrary, would they be on the verge of abandoning their professional project?
Twenty years later, Miguel Fragata – one of those young actors – sets out to discover the fate of his colleagues and recovers fragments of the characters, trying to imagine the continuation of Act IV of Chekhov's text.
From the hybrid terrain of fiction and reality emerges the show "Just One More Seagull", where the stories of the artists, now characters, intertwine after the curtain falls and the word "end" is written.
